Manchester United are continuing their search for a new midfielder and have now made an approach for Amadou Onana.
Onana has been a target for United for a number of months are they are now considering trying to sign the Everton midfielder. He would cost a big fee.
This would be as an alternative to Sofyan Amrabat.
As reported by Jacob Steinberg, Manchester United have now approached Everton for midfielder Amadou Onana. United admire the player.
Onana would cost United around £50million, which may be a bridge too far. The club are on a sell to buy basis this summer due to FFP.
Everton are of course reluctant to sell a player they believe will only get stronger. United are keen on Onana as an alternative to Sofyan Amrabat.
Amrabat remains on the list for United and would cost around £25million if they decided to move for him. Amrabat is keen on joining United.
The approach has been made for Onana, but that’s all it is right now.
