Manchester United have Sofyan Amrabat high up on their list of potential targets this summer, and reports in Morocco now believe a deal is close.
Amrabat was someone United would pursue if Fred was sold this summer. Fred is expected to leave the club, but previous reports have stated United would not turn their focus to Amrabat until a deal for Fred has been resolved and Rasmus Hojlund was signed.
Moroccan reports believe things have moved quickly in the last couple of hours.
As reported by Moroccan journalist Izem Anass, Sofyan Amrabat will join Manchester United this summer. The report was published in the last hour.
United’s interest is definitely there for Amrabat but reports up until this stage have suggested a deal was not close. Fred was the domino effect that would make a transfer move quicker but he has not been sold as of yet.
Fiorentina are open to the sale of Amrabat but would require around €35million. United are closing in on the signing of Rasmus Hojlund, but Moroccan reports suggest they are also closing in on this deal too.
Amrabat is a former player of Erik ten Hag, with the two working together at Utrecht in the Dutch League. More news is expected to come on this in the next few hours.
