Manchester United are looking to sign a new central defender, and already have a list of potential signings they could make before the window closes. That duo is Jarrad Branthwaite and Jean-Claire Todibo.
Jean-Clair Todibo has been a player United have admired for a long time and Jarrad Branthwaite from Everton is also someone the club believe could go on to be a top centre-back.
United could sign a defender this summer due to Raphael Varane’s fitness concerns.
United Interested In Centre-Back Duo:
As reported by Mail Sport, Manchester United are considering a move for Jarrad Branthwaite and Jean-Clair Todibo.
A midfielder remains top of the priority list at United, but a defender is not far behind. Todibo was ahead of Axel Disasi on French centre-back market United explored, and Branthwaite is seen as another good cheap option.
Jarrad Branthwaite has been a player United have looked at since last summer. The English defender spent time in the Dutch League last season, which will have caught the eye of Erik ten Hag.
United’s current priority is getting a deal done for Rasmus Hojlund. The club still want a back-up goalkeeper and a midfielder as well as a centre-back.
The Red’s are not done yet in the market, and Jean-Clair Todibo and Jarrad Branthwaite are names to look out for.
