Manchester United rate Teden Mengi very highly but he’s unlikely to be part of their plans this season. The defender has received a loan offer.
The offer comes from French side Amiens, and discussions are now underway between United and the French side.
It’s likely that Mengi will join on a season long loan deal.
United To Loan Teden Mengi:
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United defender Teden Mengi has received a loan offer from French side Amiens.
Mengi’s contract at United expires next year but the club have a one-year extension option. It’s likely they’ll send the player on loan and then offer a new contract next year.
All parties are involved in the discussions. There is a feeling that the deal will happen in the next few days. The defender missed last portions of last season with a hamstring injury.
Talks are on, and Mengi could leave United.
