Manchester United are set to offload a goalkeeper to championship club Fulham, but it is not Dean Henderson. It’s Nathan Bishop.
Nathan Bishop is set to be the latest Manchester United player to leave the club, as he is now closing in on a switch to Sunderland. The deal is as good as done, and is expected to be officially confirmed in the next 24 hours.
Bishop impressed for United in pre-season and will now get his chance at a top Championship side.
As reported by Scott Wilson of the Echo, Manchester United goalkeeper Nathan Bishop is on the verge of joining Sunderland.
Bishop came under fire last week after a rough tackle injured Paul Mullin in a friendly, but he was commended for how he handled the situation after.
The United goalkeeper will get his move to Sunderland, with the deal now all but done. An announcement will come in the next 24 hours.
No fee has been disclosed as of yet for the 23-year old, but it’s not expected to be over £1million considering the academy sales they’ve made this year.
Nathan Bishop to Sunderland, announcement coming soon.
