Manchester United have stepped up their pursuit of a new number two goalkeeper and have made an offer to Fenerbache’s Altay Bayindir.
Zion Suzuki was the target at one stage but with that deal now looking unlikely United have turned their attention to Bayindir. He is 25-years old and has featured for Turkey’s national team.
An official offer has been tabled by United as per reports in Turkey.
As reported by Yagiz Sabuncouglu, Manchester United have now sent an official offer to Fenerbache for goalkeeper Altay Bayindir.
Bayindir has been at Fenerbache since 2019 when he signed from Ankaragucu. During that period he has made 143 appearances, conceding 163 goals and keeping 44 clean sheets.
The Turkish keeper made 40 appearances in all competitions for Fenerbache last season. He has a current market value of around €11million.
United are looking for an understudy for Andre Onana, with Dean Henderson expected to leave and Matej Kovar anticipated to go on loan.
