Manchester United have made Sofyan Amrabat a priority in the event they sign a new midfielder. Erik ten Hag is a huge fan of the Moroccan, and is keen to bring him to United this summer.
Departures must happen before United spend on a new midfielder due to FFP, so Amrabat is not a hot topic as of this moment. Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund’s deals are much more prominent, but Amrabat is someone the club like.
Liverpool also have an interest in Amrabat as they look to replace Fabinho.
As reported by Il Tireno in Italy, Manchester United have made Sofyan Amrabat a priority in the event they do sign a new midfielder this summer.
United have to wait to see which players are sold in the coming weeks to decide what to do in midfield. Amrabat is the desired target, and would be available for around £30million.
Fred and Donny Van De Beek are two players that could leave the club. Fred has interest from Saudi Arabia and Fulham, and Donny Van De Beek has interest from Italy.
Amrabat is also on the list at Liverpool. Jurgen Klopp is looking to replace Fabinho, who is close to a move to Al Ittihad. Romeo Lavia tops Liverpool’s list, but they could sign two new midfielders.
United will focus on trying to land Rasmus Hojlund first before turning their attention to a midfielder. A bid for Hojlund is anticipated next week.
