Dan Gore’s quality has been evident in pre-season and the early stages of the season for the u-21’s, and he could be given an opportunity this season.
Erik ten Hag spoke in pre-season about giving youth a chance, and that he hoped at least one players would join the first-team from the academy this season. Dan Gore could be that player.
Kobbie Mainoo is already first-team material, but Gore may be getting readied to become the next one up.
No Loan For Dan Gore:
As reported by Steven Railston, Dan Gore will not be loaned out this summer. He is expected to stay with the u-21’s.
Gore shone in pre-season and staked a claim for breaking into the first-team. He’s a midfield profile United don’t possess at this moment in time, and has qualities that may stand to him this season.
United academy manager Travis Binnion confirmed last night that Gore was in training with the first-team. “You’d have to ask the manager that, I’m not sure. He’s with them [training with the first team squad] every day, he’s doing really well there. He’s improving by being with them.”
Kobbie Mainoo will be part of the United squad upon return from injury, and Gore will hope to be alongside him. Gore and Mainoo fall alongside Isak Hansen-Aaroen and Hannibal Mejbri as the most exciting prospects in the academy.
No loan plans for Dan Gore as of now.
