West Ham have made a £20million bid for Manchester United defender Harry Maguire, but the Red’s have rejected the bid immediately.

David Moyes is a massive fan of Maguire and would love to bring him into the club but United’s valuation is higher than the £20million the Hammer’s have offered for the England defender.

Maguire would like to stay at United and fight for his place.

As reported by David Ornstein, Manchester United have rejected a £20million bid from West Ham for Harry Maguire.

United are looking for a higher fee and due to their asking price it’s unlikely West Ham bid again. The Hammer’s like Scott McTominay and Maguire, but United see both players as important.

Any bid that makes United sell either player would have to be important, and the Red’s do not deem £20million as important enough. West Ham quoted Manchester United £60million for Issa Diop not too long ago, so this may be a form of payback.

Maguire is keen to stay at United and prove himself despite being stripped of captaincy recently. The England defender loves the club and believes he can contribute next season.

West Ham are likely to move on to other targets, but will remain interested in the event United lower their price.
