Manchester United have now sent an official offer to Odysseas Vlachodimos, as they look to sign a replacement for Dean Henderson. Henderson is set to join Crystal Palace on a season-long loan in the coming days, United have been working hard to try and make a signing happen. Vlachodimos is one of two keepers United are interested in.
Altay Bayindir is the other and United have already held a medical for the Fenerbache goalkeeper. Bayindir would cost United around €5million.
United have not made a final decision on which keeper they will sign.
As reported by Florian Plettenburg, Manchester United have sent an official offer to Benfica goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos.
There is said to be a verbal agreeement between United and Vlachodimos. An agreement is now needed with Benfica, but Vlachodimos could cost United more than Bayindir.
Benfica value Vlachodimos at around €15million. This fee may be why United are looking at Altay Bayindir at the same time. If Benfica do not lower their price the Red’s may opt for Bayindir.
Dean Henderson’s move is still in the works but there is a feeling it will happen. United would prefer a loan with obligation.
Verbal agreement now in place with Vlachodimos.
