Manchester United are preparing to bid for Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund after agreeing a deal for Andre Onana. Atalanta want around €65million including add-ons for the Danish striker.
United are working on a bid as they already have an agreement on player side. Hojlund is open to the move as he supported United as a kid. Personal terms are 100% agreed.
Atalanta bought Hojlund for €17.2million from Sturum Graz in August of 2022.
As reported by Alfredo Pedulla, Manchester United’s new bid for Rasmus Hojlund could have a fixed base of €55million. United would then insert add-ons to try and hit the required €65million.
The Italian side would prefer to keep Hojlund but with the player so keen to move they would sell for a fair price. United would be getting a good deal for around €65million in Hojlund. The Dane has all the attributes to be one of the best around in a few years.
United need a number nine for next season and with Harry Kane out of the question, Hojlund is the main target. United are working on a tight budget due to FFP and need all their purchased to be around £150million.
Any further signings from United would require sales. Sofyan Amrabat is a target but the club would need to sell to buy on that deal. It is not a priority as of now, Rasmus Hojlund is.
The deal is nowhere near done and could still take some time, but there is some small optimism around United’s chances of signing Rasmus Hojlund this summer.
