Manchester United will now turn their attention to a striker after signing Andre Onana, and Rasmus Hojlund is top of the list. The Danish striker wants a United move, but Atalanta are not letting him go for cheap.
Atalanta have been offered a player plus cash deal from United but the Italian club only want cash. United have yet to submit a full formal concrete offer as of yet, but there are expected to in the coming weeks.
Hojlund is fully convinced by a move to United and is waiting for them to make a move.
United Hopeful Of Hojlund:
As reported by Sky Sports News, Manchester United still hope to sign Rasmus Hojlund and are optimistic a deal can be done. Hojlund is eager to move to United, but will be respectful towards Atalanta during the process.
There is a feeling Atalanta would be willing to do the deal but they want to get the right fee. Reports suggesting they want £85million are wide of the mark, but the Italian club do want €70million for the Danish striker.
United have done all of their deals so far for under £60million, but they may make an exception for Hojlund. A number nine is of upmost importance for United next season, and in Hojlund they’re signing a striker for the next decade.
Personal terms will not be a problem. The message is now clear for United, agree a deal with Atalanta and Rasmus Hojlund is a Manchester United player.
United are also still keen on bringing in a second midfielder this summer, with Sofyan Amrabat a prime target.
