Manchester United have verbally increased their bid for Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana to €45million. The Italian club are demanding €60million.
United will raise their bid again and did not launch a formal bid this time, instead opting for a verbal approach. There is a belief a deal can be done in the end. Onana is a priority target for Manchester United.
Inter are open to selling Onana but they are currently adamant on getting the right price.
United Verbally Increase Offer:
As reported by Di Marzio, Manchester United have raised their bid for Andre Onana to €45million. Inter Milan are still demanding €60million.
The club are likely to meet somewhere in the middle, with all parties open to doing a deal. Inter are open to losing Onana to fund a loan move for Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku. Talks will restart over that deal this week.
With Tom Heaton and Dean Henderson United’s only keepers at the moment, and the latter expected to leave, Onana is a priority. Erik ten Hag wants to reunite with his former keeper, and there’s big chances he will.
United’s next bid is more than likely to be €50million. €55million is currently the most probable final fee for Onana at this stage, with both clubs making a compromise in that event.
The Red’s decided to launch a verbal bid this time to test Inter’s resolve, but the next bid is expected to be a formal offer. Negotiations will continue.
