Manchester United are looking for £50million to sell Harry Maguire this summer, with the defender expected to hold talks with Erik ten Hag this week. Maguire does not want to leave United, and would prefer to fight for his place.
Erik ten Hag will make his feelings known in the talks this week. If United do sell Maguire, Axel Disasi is the top name on their list of replacements.
Maguire has been training three times a day for three weeks in order to fight for his place at United.
United Want £50million For Maguire:
As reported by Samuel Luckhurst of MEN, Manchester United would look for £50million from any club interested in Harry Maguire this summer. West Ham have an interest in both Maguire and Scott Mctominay.
Maguire did not play much last season but did impress at times when he did play. His quality this season could also be benefited by United potentially having a pro-active keeper. A deal for Andre Onana is said to be close.
Erik ten Hag is unlikely to start Maguire next season unless his improvement is drastic, and conversations will take place between the pair this week. Game time may be a big factor for Maguire in terms of losing his place in the England side.
Maguire has been training with Ricardo Carvalho to try and get as fit as possible for game week one. Manchester United face Wolves, but Raphael Varane will more than likely be the starting defender.
£50million is the fee United have now set on Maguire. It’s a fee that will turn a lot of potential buyers away. West Ham have huge interest but it is not thought they are willing to pay that much. Maguire’s future will be clearer by the end of this week.
