Manchester United want to keep Uruguayan winger Facundo Pellistri beyond this season with Erik ten Hag being a big fan. A contract extension is in the mind of United. They are expected to offer the player a new deal soon.

Pellistri however is unlikely to feature in the plans of the club this summer. A loan deal is the most obvious scenario this summer, with the player having a number of clubs interested in his signature.

The United winger has interest from the Spanish League and the Dutch League.

Pellistri To Go On Loan:

As reported by Fabian Bertolini, Manchester United plan to offer Facundo Pellistri a new deal this summer. The player will then likely go on loan.

Real Betis are one of the clubs interested in Pellistri, alongside Dutch side FC Twente. Erik ten Hag may advise Pellistri to join Twente considering the United manager was an assistant manager there once.

An injury stopped Pellistri from going on loan last season, but he did make some appearances for the first team. The Uruguayan played 11 times for the Red’s and even notched an assist against Charlton in the EFL Cup.

Erik ten Hag is a big fan of Pellistri but he is unlikely to bench Antony this season. The Brazilian is a massive part of the managers setup, and will be a key cog in the system next season. Amad is likely to follow Pellistri down the loan route this summer.

United are expected to offer the player a new deal in the coming weeks. An upgrade in wages is expected. FC Twente are felt to lead the race to sign him on loan.
