Manchester United’s pursuit of Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana is now in the final stages. A deal is expected to be done completely by Thursday, but the process to make that happen is now in it’s end game.
United will pay around €55million for Andre Onana who signed for Inter Milan on a free transfer last summer. Inter have already identified replacements in the shape of Yann Sommer and Anatoliy Trubin.
Personal terms are already agreed between United and Onana.
Onana Deal In Final Stage:
As reported by Chris Wheeler of the Daily Mail, the Andre Onana deal is now in it’s final stage. Sources close to Onana believe this is the case.
Erik ten Hag identified Onana as his top target for the keeper position after it was certain David De Gea would leave. De Gea ended a 12 year stay at the club last week, after a fine last season for the Spaniard.
Onana embodies what the United manager wants in a goalkeeper. He’s proactive and amazing with the ball at his feet, which will allow the manager to stamp his system on the team.
Inter will accept the third bid from United when it’s sent, which could be as early as tonight. Onana becomes United’s second signing of the summer, after Mason Mount signed from Chelsea.
A brand new era for Manchester United in net, and they will be optimistic about it being a bright one.
