Manchester United’s pursuit of Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat is not imminent as of now. No bid has been made and any move for the player will depend on outgoings in the coming weeks.

United agreed a deal for Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana yesterday and they will now turn their attention to Rasmus Hojlund. The Atalanta striker is United’s priority now, and they are optimistic of getting a deal done.

Fiorentina would look for around £35million for Sofyan Amrabat.

Amrabat Not Imminent:

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United’s pursuit of Sofyan Amrabat is not currently imminent. United admire Amrabat but no bid as been sent as of now.

Amrabat is on the list of potential defensive midfielders for United but he is not the only one. Erik ten Hag admires the player and managed him in the past at Utrecht. Amrabat is open to leaving this summer and has interest from England and Spain.

Liverpool also have Amrabat on a potential list of replacements for Fabinho. Romeo Lavia is most likely as of now but Amrabat is admired by Jurgen Klopp. United would have to wait for potential outgoings before making a move for the Moroccan.

In terms of outgoings for United, Fred and Donny Van De Beek are likely to leave. Fred has interest from Fulham, Saudi Arabia and also Galatasaray. Donny Van De Beek is exploring his options as of now, and is expected to leave this summer. United rejected a £6million bid from Galatasaray for Fred this past week.

Rasmus Hojlund is United’s prime target after Andre Onana. Contacts have began and Atalanta are looking for around £60million. United will assess the midfield situation if and after they wrap up a deal for the Danish striker.
