The Saudi Pro League has been revolutionised this summer due to the unlimited funds given to several of the sides from the Government.
Some of the most renowned players in the world have left European football to join the league this summer however the Saudis don’t want to stop there.
According to a report they are now planning a move for Liverpool legend Mo Salah.
As well as him they are looking at bringing Manchester City great Kevin De Bruyne to the league after he just won the treble last season.
Moves for the pair this summer would be effectively impossible though as both Liverpool and City will not be wanting to lose their stars with the new season already underway.
A concern for Premier League clubs will be that the Saudi Arabia transfer window is open for several weeks after the European one shuts.
A Pro League executive has told The Mirror amid links to Salah and De Bruyne: “This is just the beginning. The League’s budget is astronomical and there is already interest from leading international players in England to move over here.
“With the personal rewards on offer it’s a life changing situation which few players will be able to resist. You can bet that more top players will be arriving again next year.”
Salah and De Bruyne are contracted at their respective clubs until 2025 so in two years could we be seeing two of the greatest players in Premier League history in Saudi Arabia?
