Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo would prefer to join Chelsea over Liverpool, despite the Red’s launching a new bid for the midfielder.
Chelsea have been in negotiations for months in regards to Caicedo, but their plans have hit a road bump after Liverpool outbid them yesterday.
The Brighton midfielder however is said to still prefer a Chelsea move.
As reported by Jacob Steinberg of the Guardian, Moises Caicedo would still prefer a move to Chelsea over Liverpool despite the new bid.
Chelsea are still hopeful of getting a deal done for Caicedo in the next 48 hours. The club remain confident despite the emergence of Liverpool.
The Blue’s launched a bid for Romeo Lavia last night worth £48million, but it’s unknown whether this was a tactic to scare Liverpool off Caicedo.
The player’s preference is Chelsea, and the club are likely to raise their bid to Brighton in the coming hours.
Moises Caicedo’s transfer saga is underway, but Chelsea believe it’s theirs to win.
