Nottingham Forest have made offers for Manchester United duo Dean Henderson and Anthony Elanga. Both players are deemed surplus to requirements in Erik ten Hag’s plans next season, and are seeking a move away.
Henderson would have to be happy with playing as number two next season if he stayed at the club after the purchase of Andre Onana. Anthony Elanga is not likely to get much game time, and is looking for a permanent move away.
One of the bids Forest have made is a permanent deal but the other is a loan.
Forest Bid For Elanga & Henderson:
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Nottingham Forest have launched a loan bid for Dean Henderson and a permanent bid for Anthony Elanga.
United are unlikely to entertain the loan offer for Henderson as they look to generate profit off his sale. United want around £20million to part ways with the goalkeeper.
The bid for Anthony Elanga is permanent but the amount has yet to be disclosed. The Red;s are open to selling Elanga, who also has interest from Everton. A fee of around £15million would be an acceptable amount for the Swedish winger.
Erik ten Hag is hoping to add to his budget with the sale of as many players as he can. Rasmus Hojlund remains a target for United and they are expected to make an opening bid in the coming days for the Dane. Sofyan Amrabat is also possible, but funds need to be raised before an approach is made.
Nottingham Forest may be successful with their approach for Anthony Elanga. Dean Henderson’s loan bid is a different story.
