Manchester United are now on the verge of finalising a deal to sign Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta. The player will complete his medical tests at the club today before signing his contract.
Hojlund was at Carrington yesterday to do the first part of his medical and left late last night with his team. The Dane is back today, and will do the rest of his work before the deal is announced.
Atalanta will receive £64million up front of the sale of Hojlund.
Hojlund Arrives Back At Carrington To Complete Transfer:
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Rasmus Hojlund has arrived back in Carrington to do the second part of his medical.
Everything is agreed between United and Atalanta and this final process is now all that’s left. Hojlund could be in United’s squad for their final pre-season game if all goes well.
Erik ten Hag identified a striker at the beginning of the window as a crucial target and he has now got his man. Hojlund has bundles of potential, but he will be expected to show a lot of this season.
Manchester United face Wolves at Old Trafford on matchday one in the Premier League, and the expectation is that Rasmus Hojlund will be starting for the Red’.
The deal is now closer than ever, and could be announced tonight.
