West Ham United made a verbal approach to Manchester United for Scott McTominay yesterday, and they are now contemplating making a full scale move for the midfielder.
The Hammer’s are looking to replace Declan Rice after his £105million move to Arsenal earlier this window, and McTominay is one of the top targets on their list of replacements.
West Ham had a bid rejected for Conor Gallagher by Chelsea yesterday, and are now thinking of a move for McTominay.
As reported by James Ducker of The Telegraph. West Ham are now considering making a move for Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay.
United value McTominay at around £45million. West Ham offered below £40million in their verbal approach to United. It’s not known whether the Hammer’s are willing to meet United’s valuation.
McTominay is the second United player West Ham have shown interest in this summer after Harry Maguire. The Hammer’s had a loan bid rejected by United for the defender.
The Red’s view McTominay as an important part of the squad and are not openly looking to sell him. It is likely however that they will entertain West Ham if they offer close to £45million.
Interest for now, but West Ham are certainly plotting for McTominay.
