West Ham United are long time admirers of Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay, and they have today turned that interest more concrete by making a bid for the player.
Similarly to Harry Maguire, United are not seeking out bid for McTominay but are open to listening to them should they arrive.
West Ham have submitted a bid for McTominay, Conor Gallagher and James Ward-Prowse to test the waters for all the players.
West Ham Bid For McTominay:
As reported by Gary Jacob of the Times, West Ham have made a bid for Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay. He is one of three midfielders the Hammers have approached.
West Ham received £105million from the sale of Declan Rice and are keen to put that to use on a new midfielder this summer. McTominay is admired by David Moyes, and West Ham believe he could be a good replacement for Rice.
Chelsea have already rejected the £40million offer sent to them for Conor Gallagher but United are not known currently to have responded to the McTominay bid. United are said to want £45million for McTominay.
Gallagher is currently seen as more in the budget of West Ham than the United midfielder. West Ham will not go above £40million for Gallagher, so they are unlikely to match £45million if United continue to ask for it.
A verbal offer was made, now United will look over it and decide whether it’s acceptable.
