Sim Jim Ratcliffe is one of the leading candidates to take over Manchester United alongside Sheikh Jassim, but the English billionaire is not expecting the process to be done soon.
Ratcliffe has launched a bid months ago that he is happy with and believes is a competitive offer, but has not heard anything from the Glazers. United’s owners are leaving everyone in the dark, and are no closer to making a decision.#
Both parties involved in buying the club are becoming increasingly frustrated.
Ratcliffe Does Not See An End In Takeover Saga:
As reported by Jamie Jackson of the Guardian, Sir Jim Ratcliffe does not anticipate the United sale process to be done before the new season begins. United take on Wolves on the 14th of August.
Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe are both awaiting a final answer on whether they’ve won the race to buy the club, but have been left with nothing for some time now. Many are beginning to feel the Glazers have wasted everyone’s time and have no plans to sell the club.
United have been held back this summer by financial fair play and the clubs takeover situation, but are still working with what they have for the moment. Mason Mount has been signed, and a deal for Andre Onana only has a medical left before it’s a done deal.
Ratcliffe has spoken positively about the Glazers in the past, but even he will be growing frustrated by the situation. Sheikh Jassim is said to be sick of being taken for a fool by the clubs owners, but has not withdrawn his offer,
The Glazers shadow still looms over a club they’ve effectively torn limb from limb since taking over, and United fans will be hoping for as quick a conclusion as Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim.
