PSG have been linked to Manchester United’s priority number nine Rasmus Hojlund in recent days, but our understanding is that the interest is not advanced. United are in the lead in the race for Hojlund, but must overcome the asking price from Atalanta.
The Italian side are holding out for around €65million for the Danish striker, but United are hoping to get that fee down. The Red’s have a 100% agreement with Hojlund on personal terms. The Atalanta striker has supported United since he was a boy, and would love if the move went through.
PSG have been informed about the details involving a deal for Hojlund, but that is all they have done with their interest as of now.
PSG’s Hojlund Interes Not Advanced:
Sources close to the Transfer Room informed us that the French clubs interest was not advanced as of now. United are the main players in the race as of right now, but must still agree a fee with Atalanta.
United are preparing a first official bid for Hojlund. The expectation is that the bid will be €55million fixed with some add-ons on top of that. United are hoping Atalanta can drop their asking price slightly to reach a compromise.
If a deal cannot be agreed for Hojlund, Randal Kolo Muani has been linked to United for some time. Many feel this is a smoke screen by the Red’s to get Atalanta to lower their price. Mehdi Taremi has also been someone looked at by the club.
Erik ten Hag is a fan of Hojlund and believes the Dane and Marcus Rashford could be an interesting dynamic in the striker position next season. Anthony Martial is not to be trusted fitness wise, and Hojlund could signal the end of the Frenchman’s United career.
A deal will still take some time but United lead PSG comfortably in the race as of now.
