The statistics have shown just why Bruno Fernandes has been the main man for Manchester United since joining from Sporting Lisbon.
The midfielder arrived at the club in January 2020 and quickly hit the ground running. He has rarely slowed down since and is seemingly at his creative best now.
There are several stats that support this but little more than the following pointed out by Opta on Twitter. Since his first game for the club, no player has both scored and assisted in more different games in the Premier League (12) than the Portuguese international.
And The Athletic (Via United District) pointed out more key numbers. Fernandes has shown almost otherworldly creative prowess on the pitch. This stat shows that no player has created more chances in the league (277) and in all competitions (343) since he made his debut.
United have struggled with a mixed start to this season but the 28-year-old has stood tall as one of the key players yet again, with a goal and an assist against Nottingham Forest last Saturday.
The Red Devils went 2-0 down in the space of five minutes but the captain was instrumental in the turnaround. The game ended 3-2.
Missed chances have plagued United this season and the fans will be hoping new striker signing Rasmus Hojlund will help to fix the problem, which could benefit Fernandes in a huge way.
