Who should play left back for Manchester United whilst Luke Shaw is injured? United are now limited with options for the position with both of their senior left backs out with an injury.
Erik Ten Hag does not have a set option. The Dutchman would have to stop Alvaro Fernandez from going on loan to Granada with the Spaniard being the clubs only natural left back.
Another option that has been tried in the past is Diogo Dalot. The Portuguese international is naturally a right back but has the ability to play left back, having also played there for AC Milan.
Who Should Manchester United Play At Left Back?
Fernandez seems like the best option on paper. Having played so many senior games in the Championship, the highly rated youngster could thrive under an opportunity.
Dalot has shown he can play in the position to a good standard and is more experienced than the youngster.
Who should play left back? Fernandez. United should hold onto the Spaniard and give him a chance to prove his worth in the absence of the England international.
