Andre Onana has not had a great start to life at United, but Erik ten Hag is firmly behind his keeper. Altay Bayindir is the second choice goalkeeper, but United have been scouting Suzuki for a number of years.
There is still a desire from United to sign Suzuki.
Suzuki spoke on the situation the other day, and expressed a desire to join Manchester United in the coming years.
“My dream is to play in the Premier League and I have received an offer from Manchester United. Even if I can’t go there now, I definitely want to go there in a few years.”
Zion Suzuki speaking on a possible Manchester United move.
Suzuki is seen as the future by Manchester United, and possibly could replace Andre Onana in the future. The Japanese goalkeeper has all the hallmarks of a modern keeper, and that is showcased by his player profile on Data MB from this season.
Urawa Reds are still the primary club of Suzuki. He will return from his loan in Belgium at the end of the season, and Manchester United may choose to swoop back in.
One to watch in the future for United on the goalkeeping front.
